How Tontine Insulation works Tontine® Polyester Thermal Insulation Batts act like a quilt protecting your home from losing heat in winter and protecting it from the sun to keep it cool in summer. Tontine® Insulation is made with thousands of hollow fibres bonded to each other (without chemical binders or adhesives) to trap tiny pockets of air to naturally reduce heat flow through the insulation.This heat resistance is measured by its R Value - the greater the R Value, the greater the resistance of the heat transfer. Tontine® Insulation offers a complete range of products with R Values from R1.5 to R4.5.
