Townsend Farmers Exchange Poultry Ordering 2018 Ok Everyone! what is going on for the Farmers Exchange 2018 Poultry Season! Several things have changed from last year so please have patience! 1. This year we will be taking pre-orders for Meat Birds (Cornish Rock Crosses), Meat Turkeys (White & Bronze Broad Breasted), Ducks, and Guinea hens only! This order form is going to be separate from the Chicken and Bantam list, and we would like to have your orders in no later than February 20, 2018. There is no minimum or maximum required. With these special orders we will be requiring ½ down for a deposit. You can place your orders over the phone or in store only. These orders will arrive on a Friday and you will have until Sunday to pick up your order. 2. We will not be taking any pre-orders for baby chicks or bantams. We are going to send out a list of what breeds we will be receiving, along with the dates and cost of each. This year all of our chicks will be vaccinated for Marek’s Disease. This year will be a first come first serve basis. All of our chicks are scheduled for Fridays to help ensure everyone has a fair chance! This will also help speed up the in store purchase process! We promise that as soon as the chicks arrive we will post it everywhere we possibly can! We also ask you to Please, Please, Please, refrain from calling the store until later in the afternoon, as the chicks tend to arrive later in the day! 3. Due to the heavy increase in price of Heritage Breed Turkeys, we will only be carrying Bourbon Reds and Sweetgrass. The dates are TBD at the moment due to the change in supplier. BABY CHICKS!!  There is no minimum or maximum.  The date is when the babies will be arriving in the store.  Most of the babies are pullets (90% female guarantee) EXCEPT the noted breeds(SR).  The Bantam breeds are all straight run (50/50 shot of male or female).  All of these babies are going to be vaccinated for Marek’s Disease. It is first come first serve this year which is why all of the deliveries are scheduled for a Friday to make it easier for everyone to come over the weekend! 
