TRAIL OF LIGHTS 2016 VOLUNTEER APPLICATION GUIDE

STEP 1: Go to bit.ly/tolvolapp2016. Here you can review team descripAons by clicking on acAvity names and shiE Ames. When ready to submit an applicaAon, click “Fill in an applicaAon”.

Step 2: Create a username and password or log in with an exisAng account. Review the organizaAon’s policies by clicking “View Policy”. Once reviewed, agree to volunteer policies and “Save and ConAnue”.

STEP 3: You will be prompted to complete your profile, beginning with your contact informaAon. Returning applicants should update their profile with current informaAon. Then you will be prompted to complete the “QualificaAon” secAon. NOTE: If volunteering with a group, be sure to select the organizaAon you are joining here. This is how we’ll know to place you with your group. Then complete the “About Me” secAon. Be expressive in your answers, so we can learn about you!

Click “SUBMIT APPLICATION” at the boaom right hand side of the page. YOU AREN’T QUITE FINSIHED. ConAnue to Step 4.

STEP 4: Visit the “OpportuniAes” tab to sign up for shiEs. From the “ApplicaAon Complete” page, click the “Go to the opportuniAes page” link.

Step 5: Review teams and sign up for your ideal shiEs by clicking the “Sign Up” buaon next to the shiEs you’d like to join. •  • 





Review team descripAons and Ames by clicking on the acAvity name (example: Leaers to Santa 2016). Sign up for all of the shiEs you are able to join. Note: The volunteer recruiter will do her best to assign desired shiEs. If assigned, you will have a final opportunity to confirm or decline your shiEs.

THANK YOU! That’s all for now! Once you’ve completed these steps, you will immediately receive an email staAng that we’ve received your applicaAon. The volunteer recruiter reviews applicaAons as they are received. If selected to join, you will be sent a confirmaAon email with instrucAons to confirm your assigned shiEs.
