Flowers The flowers on the altar at South Campus (Carey Station Rd.) are given by Joe Collier to the Glory of God and in honor of his wife, Gail. Joe and Gail celebrate 46 years of marriage on September 30th.

Congratulations Kim and Gary McClain are the proud grandparents of Alexander Gabriel Hill born September 17 in San Antonio, TX weighing 8 lbs., 11 oz. and 20 in. long. His proud parents are Gabe and Corri Hill. A red rose is placed on the altar at the North Campus (Broad St.) in celebration of Alexander.

Sympathy Our thoughts and prayers are extended to Libba Holmes and family in the death of her mother, Carol Mizell.

Mission News:

Atlas Ministries is asking for our help. A female client has just been accepted into the program

for a Habitat for Humanity house which will not be ready until sometime next year. Atlas found where she was living was substandard and has found her temporary house. Unfortunately, some of her furniture was so bad that she left it behind. She is in need of some living room furniture. If you are able to help, please call Atlas at 706.453.0581.

Mission Trip to Adairsville, GA: October 6—9 Open to all FUMC church family. Contact Gayle Eicher or Merry Grayson if you are interested or need more information.

WE NEED YOU!!! Our Garage & Bake Sale is November 1st and 2nd. It cannot be a success without your help. We need workers for the entire week of October 28th—November 2nd. Please take the time to stop by the table in the vestibule and fill out the volunteer form today. You can work as little as a two hour shift, work an entire day, or several days during the week. There will be someone there to answer any of your questions. We need your help!

OCTOBER FOOD DRIVE sponsored by The Mission Committee Two grocery bags for each family will be distributed on Sunday, October 6th and on Sunday, October 13th for you to fill up with non-perishable food items. Please drop your filled bags any Sunday in October at church by the grocery cart. Take advantage of “Buy One Get One Free” at the grocery store. Let’s try to create a “mountain of food” for the hungry. Donations will be split between the Greensboro Food Bank and Second Harvest.
