Equipment Supplied by Office (not applicable on instructor sponsored) •Injection Lab Kit - including syringes for students. (3 extra syringes included for demo), alcohol wipes per student (3 extras), 1 non-injectable 1 ml ampule of saline for demo, 10 ml o.9% sodium chloride (1 per 14 students), sharps biohazard container (1 per 14 students), band-aids •Fast packs (backpack style) - 1 fastpack per 3 students (only if not supplied by instructor) •Wound Cleaning Kit (only if not supplied by instructor) •AED trainer (only if not supplied by instructor) •Course paperwork

Evaluation This course does have a pass/fail criteria. Failure criteria could consist of any or all of the following: •Lack of attendance (student misses a portion of the course that the instructor deems is too great for full

comprehension of the course) •Lack of participation (the student opts out of PAS drills, scenarios, and simulations, or fails to do any assigned

homework •Inability to demonstrate CPR. The student needs to demonstrate that they can perform compressions and

ventilations at the very least. •Cannot demonstrate or explain the procedure for delivering an epi injection either by syringe & ampule or auto-

injector trainer •There is no written test with the TMFA course, please focus evaluation on PAS drills •Failure to perform at least one full patient assessment. The student should be permitted to use their SOAP notes

and field guide to assist with their assessment. If they cannot do an assessment while referring to these documents, it could be considered a failure criteria 2010, Wilderness Medical Associates
