Keeping with our known quality; all fittings are manufactured to meet the latest ASME BPE specifications. The fittings are stocked in both SF1 (PL) and SF4 (PM) finishes. The SF1 (PL) finish is 20 Ra maximum finish on the ID obtained by mechanical polishing and a 32 Ra maximum on the OD of the fitting. The SF4 (PM) finish is 15Ra maximum finish on the ID obtained by mechanical polishing followed by electropolishing. The OD is 32 Ra maximum by mechanical polishing. Ra (R subscript a) is the roughness average determined by a Profilometer, commonly known as a surface roughness tester. Every fitting has capped and color coded ends for easy visual identification of the finish.
