7B.2 Additional Considerations The LED lights that Endless Pools® has provided are equipped with a 50' cord set to allow connection to a remotely located GFCI protected outlet (RCD protected outlet in the UK and other countries with the same electrical requirements). Please contact our Customer Service Department at (800) 910-2714 with questions from the US, 0800 028 1056 from the UK or 001 610 497 4538 from other countries. In some cases, it is necessary to run conduit through a concrete slab, under ground, and in some cases through structural walls. If you plan to do this and have selected the lights option, be sure that the size of the conduit is appropriate. Because the transformer for the light is quite large, it requires a conduit of at least 6" in order to pass it through. Merely snipping the cord to disconnect the transformer will void the warranty. If you have already installed conduit that is not the appropriate size, please call the Customer Service Department for advice.

7B.3.1 Installation Instructions for Indoor Units 1. Use the 2 1/2” hole saw to cut holes in the panel for the lights. Begin to fill the pool with water, and when there is at least 15” of water in the pool (to the top of the benches), cut holes in the liner where the lights will be installed. 2. Take the Large Flange 1000 Series Body with gasket (note: single rib side of gasket facing the Body) around it and insert it into the hole. 3. Take the Locknut, flat side facing the pool panel, and screw it on the backside of the Body. Handtighten the Locknut firmly against the pool panel. Fill the pool with water to check for a sufficient seal before proceeding. The order in which the LED fixture should now be installed (starting from inside the pool) is Body, Gasket, liner pool panel, and then Locknut. 4. Plug the LED Bulb Assembly into the Socket. The prongs on the LED Assembly are universal; there is no right or wrong way of inserting it into the Socket. Push the pronged male-end of the LED Assembly into the female ports located in the Socket. 5. Take the LED Assembly, Socket, and Reflector and screw it into the back of the Body that has already been secured to the pool panel. Turn it clockwise approximately one revolution. 6. The 50’ of cord coming from the twist socket can hang from the light fixture as it has been installed. The cord is hardwired to a transformer box with two mounting tabs. The tabs can be used to hang the box on a wall if desired.

7B.3.2 Installation Instructions for Outdoor Units 1. 3. Take the DNL Lid, flat side facing the pool panel, and screw it on the backside of the Body. Handtighten the Lid firmly against the pool panel. Fill the pool with water to check for a sufficient seal before proceeding. The order in which the LED fixture should now be installed (starting from inside the pool) is Body, Gasket, liner / pool panel, and DNL Lid 4. The DNL Can has a Wedge Base twist socket with an LED Reflector and 12 Volt light cord already installed. 6. Tuck any remaining wire strands into the DNL Can push it into the DNL Lid. The 50’ of cord coming from the DNL Can is hardwired to a transformer box with two mounting tabs. The tabs can be used to hang the box on a wall if desired.

7B.4 Installation Instructions for Transformer / Power Supply Box WARNING – Risk of electric shock. Connect only to a circuit protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). (For the UK and other countries with the same electrical requirements, an RCD protected outlet should be used.) 1. The transformer / power supply box comes equipped with a pneumatic air hose, air button, and a 6’ power cord. The placement of the box should be close enough to the power source to utilize the power cord provided. An extension cord should not be used. 2. If desired, the transformer / power supply box can be mounted to a wall (near the outlet that will be used for the lights) using the two #6 x 3/4” Phillips pan-head self-tapping screws. Be sure that the cords and pneumatic hose are facing downwards. 3. If the transformer / power supply box and pneumatic hose are not mounted on a wall or suspended off the ground, be sure that there is no risk of the hose being stepped on, bent, compressed, etc. so that the lights will not be accidentally activated. 4. Plug the whip coming from the transformer into a standard power outlet (GFCI Protected). 5. Save the carton that the fixture came in for storage purposes.

7B.5 Bulb Replacement 1. Unplug the transformer / power supply box from the power source. 2. For an outdoor light, locate the four pry slots at the joint between the DNL Can and the DNL Lid. Using a standard flat head screwdriver, carefully separate the unit apart. 3. Unscrew the reflector (with LED Assembly and Socket attached) from the back of the light body. At this point you have exposed a 12 Volt 2.5 Watt LED Assembly. It is attached to the Socket by two male prongs extending from the bulb that connect to the two female ports in the Socket. 4. Pull gently on the LED Assembly to remove it.

5. Take the new bulb and plug it into the Socket. The prongs on the LED Assembly are universal; there is no right or wrong way of inserting it into the Socket. Push the pronged male-end of the LED Assembly into the female ports located in the Socket. 6. If installed outdoors, tuck any remaining wire strands into the DNL Can push it into the DNL Lid. 7. Plug the whip coming from the transformer / power supply box back into the power source.

7B.6 Disassembly for Storage of Light Unit 1. 4. Leaving the DNL Lid or Locknut assembly attached to the poolside, carefully coil up the 50’ of cord (with the Reflector, LED Assembly and Socket attached), and if the transformer / power supply box was mounted to a wall, disconnect the box by lifting it up and pulling it slightly forward. 5. Store in the carton that the fixture came in.

7B.7 Important Safety Instructions 1. The light fixture is not intended as a step. Using it as a step may cause injury to persons or damage to equipment. 2. Warning – Risk of electrical shock. The whip coming from the transformer / power supply box must be connected only to a ground type receptacle protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) located at least 5 feet from the inside wall of the pool. (For the UK and other countries with the same electrical requirements, an RCD protected outlet should be used.) Check with your local electric code for minimum distance between the pool and this outlet. 3. For a unit that does not have an integral GFCI, contact a qualified electrician if in doubt about whether or not a receptacle is protected by a GFCI. 4. An extension cord should not be used.

7B.8 Electrical Considerations for UK (and other countries with the same electrical requirements) The whip coming from the transformer must be plugged into the step down transformer as shown in the following diagram. Another alternative is to have your electrician provide a suitable step down transformer (220 Volts to 110 Volts). Please contact our Customer Service Department with any questions.
