Strolling along the promenade is a journey of two parts. In one direction the sea and its fresh breezes and salty smell take hold of the senses. On the return the journey is punctuated by stops in front of art galleries and craft shops with their ever-changing displays of colour and curio attracting window shoppers. Restaurants and cafes also provide tempting diversions whilst award winning ice cream shops are just too good to miss!

No need to travel far for entertainment. Just a few steps away from the apartment is Portstewart’s own named Crescent with its fabulous fountains where bands give summer concerts and children splash in the seawater pools or clamber over climbing frames in the adventure playground. Be you six or sixty, laughter and fun await at the award winning centre or simply walk on down to the rocky shore and let the surf splash over your shoes.
Rising up behind the Crescent stands the Dominican Convent and College which mark the start of the convent walk. A spectacular cliff path walk it stretches for almost a mile, passing on its way a holy well from which St Patrick is reputed to have drunk and offering views as far away as Donegal. The path leads onto the town’s most famous and popular attraction, the two-mile stretch of golden sand which is the fabulous Portstewart Strand.
