Gardens Approximately A Third Of An Acre Detached Double Garage Vendors View - This is a stunning, unconventional three-storey house. It sits in the middle of gated grounds of a third of an acre, and I love its contemporary look; its striking combination of larch, flint and glass. When we bought Orchard House we were specifically looking for something contemporary with lots of light, airy accommodation. So when we got inside and saw the light flooding in through the windows, we just thought: ‘Wow!’ This is a very family-friendly house. The internal space is fantastic. There’s oak flooring throughout, with under-floor heating, and the way it flows makes it a great house for entertaining. The bedrooms are fabulous – two have high-spec en suites – and we have two bi-folding doors leading onto the rear terrace and mature garden from the kitchen/diner. That’s probably my favourite space – it’s beautiful. This is a brilliant location – it’s so quiet and tranquil. We’re at the end of a private road, so there’s no traffic, and you gain access via a set of electric gates. There’s a detached double garage and, at the front, there’s room for six cars on the driveway. I can easily walk my children to school – at St Peter’s and Callis Grange are both excellent – and you can stroll down to the beach at Joss Bay. It’s also easy to get into Broadstairs and the high-speed train to get into London. You couldn’t ask for much more, really, for a family home.
