The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 5:30pm at Central Square in downtown Rochester. The night will begin with the lighting of the downtown holiday tree for the first time of the 2014 holiday season. The event will also include a visit with Santa, cookie decorating, dance performances, a reading of the story “The Night Before Christmas” by Rochester Mayor Thomas “T.J.” Jean and more! Several downtown businesses will offer specials the evening of the Tree Lighting. Visit www.rochesternh.org or see attached flyer. Collection for the Homeless There is also be a collection benefiting Sponsored children at the Homeless Center. Items being Spon sored by: By collected include new books for children ages 8-17, new puzzles for ages 12+ and small stuffed animals. “A Fairy Tale Christmas” Holiday Parade

The 2014 Holiday Parade will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2014 beginning at 3:00pm. The Holiday Parade is a large community event and offers members various levels of sponsorships to support the parade all of which are recognized in a special ad in local newspapers the week of the event. The Parade Committee also supports the Toy Bank conducted by the Rochester Fire Department. Drop off new toys for infants through the age of 14 to the Rochester or Gonic Fire Stations or Chamber office through December 19.

DECEMBER, 2014 Business NH Magazine is seeking nominations for Business Leader and Businesses of the Year. Submit applications for Business of the Year in nine categories: Business Services, Education/Nonprofit, Financial Services/Insurance, Health Care, Manufacturing/Technology, Real Estate/ Construction/Engineering, Retail/Wholesale, Tourism/Hospitality, and Business Assistance Organization. One Business Leader of the Year will also be honored. Applications are due by January 9, 2015 and can be submitted by visit www.businessNHmagazine.com. Community Partners invites the public to attend their grand opening on December 10 from 10am - 5pm at their new location, 43 North Main Street, Rochester. Tour the new storefront and meet the Community Partners staff members. Frisbie Memorial Hospital presents the 28th annual "Lights of Love" ceremony on December 3 at 4:30pm to be held at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Community Education & Conference Center.
