SONG LYRICS We Are the Body

O Come Dwell In Me

We are the body of the most High We are the bride of a Savior And we fall for the king of the kingdom As we sing the songs of salvation

O come, dwell in me Spirit of Christ within Bring Thy liberty From sorrow and fear and power of sin

And we stand for those Who cannot stand for themselves And we love the loveless And we go where Your light’s not shining We are the body of Christ

Hasten The joyful day which shall this night consume Old things They shall be done away and all will be made new

We shine like a city on a hilltop We boast in the Spirit living in us And we march on a road leading to freedom As we reach out our hands to the fallen And we bring living water to the thirsty And we live for the One who was and is and is to come So our lives count for something greater than ourselves We are the body of Christ

After Sermon

And our anthem will be a song of praise to the King He is worthy, He is worthy With one voice we will sing Where, oh death, is your sting? He is mighty, He is mighty

He Shall Reign

Kingdom Come (Lift Up Your Heads)

Come broken, come captive Come all you who mourn Oh groaning creation, rejoice! Messiah, our Savior Our healing He brings What freedom, what consolation!

Earth is groaning and we are longing. For Your kingdom to come All creation and all of Heaven Join their voices as one.

He shall reign He shall reign He shall reign He shall reign He’ll order His kingdom With justice and peace Oh merciful One, oh Lamb of God All nations, all peoples All heaven and earth Will bow down and to Him proclaim

God let your kingdom come May your will be done God let your kingdom come God let your kingdom come May your will be done God let your kingdom come Hope is stirring, joy arising As we look to the day When all injustice will bow And every voice will cry out: Holy is Your name. Lift up your heads all the weak and the poor The Lord is at hand and His Kingdom is yours Lift up your hearts all who suffer and mourn The Lord is at hand and His Kingdom is yours Lift up your eyes all who hunger for more The Lord is at hand and His Kingdom is yours Lift up a shout let the Earth hear your voice The Lord is at hand and His Kingdom is yours.

When How We Act Falls Short of Who We Are Romans 7:18-24 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 21

Romans 6:6 We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
