SONG LYRICS My Soul Magnifies the Lord

Hark the Herald Angels Sing

Good news of great joy For ev'ry woman ev'ry man This will be a sign to you A baby born in Bethlehem Come and worship do not be afraid

Hark! the herald angels sing "Glory to the new-born King! Peace on earth, and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled" Joyful, all ye nations, rise Join the triumph of the skies; With th' angelic host proclaim "Christ is born in Bethlehem."

A company of angels Glory in the highest And on the earth a peace among Those on whom His favor rests Come and worship do not be afraid My soul, my soul magnifies the Lord My soul magnifies the Lord He has done great things for me Great things for me Unto you a child is born Unto us a Son is giv'n Let ev'ry heart prepare His throne Let ev'ry nation under Heav'n Come and worship do not be afraid Of His government there will be no end He'll establish it with His righteousness And He shall reign on David's throne And His name shall be from this day on Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father Wonderful Counselor And His name shall be Everlasting Father

Angels We Have Heard On High Angels we have heard on high Sweetly singing o’er the plains, And the mountains in reply Echoing their joyous strains. Gloria! In Excelsis Deo Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong? What the gladsome tidings be Which inspire your heav’nly song? O little town of Bethlehem How still we see thee lie; Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by; Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.

Hark! the herald angels sing "Glory to the newborn King! Christ, by highest heaven adored Christ, the everlasting Lord; Late in time behold him come Offspring of the virgin’s womb Veiled in flesh, the Godhead see; Hail, th'incarnate Deity Pleased as man with men to dwell Jesus, our Emmanuel! Hail! the heaven-born Prince of peace! Hail! the Son of Righteousness! Light and life to all he brings Risen with healing in his wings Mild he lays his glory by Born that man no more may die Born to raise the sons of earth Born to give them second birth

What Child is This What child is this, who laid to rest On Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom angels greet with anthems sweet, while shepherds watch are keeping? This, this is Christ the King Whom shepherds guard and angels sing Haste, haste to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary Why lies he in such mean estate, where ox and ass are feeding? Good Christian fear, for sinners here, the silent Word is pleading So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh, Come peasant, king, to own Him. The King of kings salvation brings, Let loving hearts en- throne Him— Raise, raise a song on high, The virgin sings her lullaby. Joy, joy for Christ is born, The Babe, the Son of Mary. Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, The cross be borne for me, for you. Hail, hail the Word made flesh, The Babe, the Son of Mary.

What We Want Need For Christmas

December 6, 2020

We Need a COMMUNITY Romans 7:20-24 Romans 7:18-24 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Luke 2:1, 4-6 1 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 4 Joseph went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. 6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. Luke 2:8-12 8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger." Matthew 2:1-2,11 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him." 11 And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
