Proposed hours of activity - Your team should plan how you want to spend the time to complete the expedition and meet the aim. The minimum time each day is: Bronze at least 6 hours during the daytime of which at least 3 must be spent journeying. Silver at least 7 hours during the daytime at least 3 ½ of which must be spent journeying. Gold at least 8 hours during the at least 4 of which must be spent journeying. Time associated with overnight accommodation and catering is additional to the minimum daytime hours of planned activity. Your leader can help you choose a sufficient challenging combination of journey and exploring. This should be based on your experiences during practice expedition in a similarly environment. It is crucial that you determine your teams speed and journeying, distance to be travelled and the time spent exploring to meet your team’s aim and specific needs and abilities. hours spent journeying
