It featured small yellow or white flowers and large green leaves on a wavy ridged background. Background colors are dominant green with brown accents or dominant brown with variegated green accents. He was a veteran of the Naval Reserves, and a Teamster who drove for Drakes Bakeries, Superior Bakery, and a long time delivery person for The Reminder. My mother received a brown Luffa vase that measures 7 1/4 inches in about 1935 or 1936 for a birthday present. I have been offered $50 for it by a collector. — Rob, Rio Rancho, New Mexico The Luffa pattern was introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1934. It featured small yellow or white flowers and large green leaves on a wavy ridged background. Background colors are dominant green with brown accents or dominant brown with variegated green accents. According to “Warman’s Roseville Pottery: Identification and Price Guide” by Denise Rago, your vase is valued in the $150$250 range.

HOLLYWOOD — Warren Beatty is back! In 1998, he produced/wrote/ directed and starred in “Bulworth,” which barely recouped its $30 million cost. In 200l, he starred in “Town and Country,” with Diane Keaton, Goldie Hawn, Garry Shandling and Charlton Heston, which made just $10.4 million of its $90 million budget. 1990’s “Dick Tracy” made $117 million more than its budget, and 1991’s “Bugsy” managed only $19 million more than its budget. Beatty’s new $27 million film about Howard Hughes is untitled and set for a fall release, with Beatty once again producing/writing/directing and starring in it. His co-stars are Annette Bening, Matthew Broderick, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Candice Bergen, Ed Harris, Lily Collins, Ed Helms, Paul Reiser and Chace Crawford. He needs to win big with this one, or he can forget about the “Dick Tracy” sequel wants to do. *** Chace Crawford, whose series “Blood and Oil,” with Don Johnson, was yanked off ABC after only 10 episodes, is coming back in a big way. Before Beatty’s film is released, Chace will have the horror/thriller “Eloise,” with “Scorpion” star Robert Patrick and Eliza Dushku (of “Buffy, the Vampire Slayer” fame); and “Undrafted,” with Aaron Tveit (of “Grease/Live”), Tyler Hoechlin, James Belushi and Billy Gardell, hitting screens. He’ll also have “What’s the Point?” with Mary Steenburgen and Amber Heard, likely coming out after Beatty’s film. *** We told you last week that plans for Barbra Streisand to star in the reboot of “Gypsy” are moving full speed ahead, and that the chairman of STX Entertainment said, “It’s Barbra Streisand doing one more, if not the last, movie musical of her career.” It really may be that Barbra has decided she’d rather direct than act. **** We will still be holding a walk-in registration day on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 8am – 11am at the Guy L. Lefebvre Community Center.
Come in to register (payable by cash or check), meet our staff, receive two (2) T-shirts and your child’s summer calendar. **Even if you have already registered on-line we encourage you to stop in and pick up calendars and T-shirts (included in the registration fee) You must bring in your printed MyRec.com receipt as registration confirmation. (Up to two (2) extra T-shirts per child may be purchased during this event as well.)**
