Friday 15th June Dear Parents Learning update this week: We have enjoyed diving into our new topic ‘Ocean Waves’. We all shared our holiday homework and have a lovely display up in our room. We have come up with lots of creative role play with our pirate ships and pirates, done lots of counting of fish and have painted some jiggling jelly fish. Next week we will be:
Looking at patterns on fish, and then creating some of our own patterns. Reading the story ‘Commotion in the Ocean’ and completing some activities based on this. Working on our ball skills and talking about England in the World Cup. Designing some football kits.
How can I help my child at home? Talking homework: Ask your child to talk about what they would see if they dived into the ocean. Superstar learner’s homework: Complete the colouring sheet. Talk about the colours used, the shapes on the picture and what you can see on the picture. Please note:
Nail varnish should not be worn for school. All hair accessories must be plain navy blue or white with no embellishments. On Monday the children should come to school in sportswear, please donate a bottle for our bottle tombola to support our PTFA ‘Summer Bootfest’.
