We need Ushers at our Masses STB has a great need for people to serve as ushers at all of our weekend Masses. Ushers help people find a place to sit and make sure that they have a Worship Aid. Even when it seems that the church is not filled, it is still hard for people coming through the door to see where there are places so sit. Ushers take up the collection. They assist the Mass Coordinator in finding people to bring up the gifts every weekend and in finding children to carry bell banners during our festive seasons. They offer bulletins to people as they leave and make sure that the church is neat and ready for the next Mass. They are trained to handle emergencies that may arise during the course of Mass. This is a wonderful ministry for families with children, for couples or for anyone who comes to mass alone. A Mass with ushers is much less stressful for the priests and the Mass coordinators.
