Week 6 Prayer Journal Verses: Day 36: 6 He prayed, “O Lord, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you! 2 Chronicles 20:6 NIV

Day 37: 7 O our God, did you not drive out those who lived in this land when your people Israel arrived? And did you not give this land forever

to the descendants of your friend Abraham? 8 Your people settled here and built this Temple to honor your name. 9 They said, ‘Whenever we are faced with any calamity such as war,[a] plague, or famine, we can come to stand in your presence before this Temple where your name is honored. We can cry out to you to save us, and you will hear us and rescue us.’ 2 Chronicles 20:7-9

Day 38: You would not let the Israelites enter their lands when they came out of Egypt. [a] So the Israelites turned away and didn’t destroy them. 11 But see the kind of reward those people give us for not destroying them. They have come to force us out of your land that you gave to us. 12 Our God, punish those people. We don’t have the strength to stop this large army that is coming against us. We don’t know what to do! We are looking to you for help.”[b] 2 Chronicles 20:10-12

Day 39:

15

He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 16 Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’” 2 Chronicles 20:15-17 NIV

Day 40: 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 NIV

Daily Prayer Time Questions: What did you hear? What did God say to you as you read the passage? What word or phrase was most meaningful to you?

What do you think? What does this passage mean to you? How does it apply to your life?

What is your prayer? This is where you turn your thoughts into prayer. It could be a prayer of gratitude or of praise. It could be a confession or a request for God’s help. It’s up to you. But take a minute to write a prayer of response to God.
