SPONSOR & PRAY FOR A CHILD ATTENDING VBS Last year we were blessed to have over 200 children attend VBS and hear the word of Jesus! Please consider sponsoring a child this year for VBS. As we outreach to children in the community, your donation will help them learn how to become a disciple for Jesus Christ. Remember to take a child’s name and pray for them. Tables will be set up in the Gathering Space for your convenience on June 2nd and June 9th. Thank you for supporting this outreach to our community!

GRIEF SEMINAR: What Grieving People Wish You Knew (about what really helps and what really hurts). Sunday, June 9th at 9:45am-10:45am in the West Sanctuary, Pastor John will lead a discussion on two topics that we all worry about: 1) the wisdom to know what to say and what not to say; and 2) the courage to engage. To get beyond avoiding, beyond the awkwardness to actually bring comfort to those whom we know who have dealt with loss. All are invited and encouraged to attend. Sunday, 6/9, 9:45am in the West Sanctuary.

CALLING ALL BAKERS! If you like to bake, VBS volunteers like to eat! Please consider baking a treat for our hungry VBS volunteers. If interested in baking a treat, please see Donna Hoover or Suzanne Hetrick or call the church office (717-367-1889).

A SWEET WAY TO TITHE Looking for a fun way to spend your summer and benefit the church? Consider tithing some extra money by volunteering to sign up for a shift of work with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. Shifts are available for food and beverage, rides, retail and special event ushering at the park, Giant Stadium and Giant Center. With the help of 25 volunteers, in 2018 we received $6,174.00 through this opportunity which benefitted St Paul’s. The hours that you put in this spring and summer earn you free Hersheypark passes while your time becomes an extra donation to the church. Dates and times differ throughout the season. Please contact Mae Risser at 717-367-6882 to sign up or with questions. Get Hersheypark Happy and volunteer today!

SPECIAL SUMMER MUSIC SIGN UP We are looking for special music to enhance our 8:30 a.m. worship services while the choirs take a break for the summer (June 16-Aug. 25). If you have been blessed with musical talent and are interested in playing or singing a piece for the 8:30 a.m. worship service, please call or choose an open date on the signup sheet located on the side table in the church office. If you have questions, please contact John Messick at [email protected].

TOUCH THE FUTURE… Include St. Paul’s in Your Will Many of us wonder what kind of legacy we will leave on earth when we are called home to join Christ in heaven. One way to guarantee that our beliefs, values and commitment to the Church will continue, even after we pass, is to include St. Paul’s as a beneficiary in our will. This simple process, which can be accomplished with a one sentence addition to a current will (see bold info below), is evidence of our faith in action and is a powerful testament to the significance of Christ’s role in our lives. You can include a specific dollar amount or choose a percentage of your estate (after providing for your loved ones) that you direct to St. Paul’s. By this simple act, we demonstrate the importance of our faith while providing resources to proclaim the gospel of Christ for generations to come. What a wonderful way to leave a legacy. “I give and bequeath to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 398 N. Locust St., Elizabethtown, PA, the sum of $_________ (or asset) or _____% of the residual of my estate, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).” CONSUMED ADULTS EVENTS Please join Consumed for the following events!
