itza Swigonski (seated) is a new women’s life group leader this fall. She leads the Thursday morning group and they are studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians using a Beth Moore “Children of the Day” study. Nitza loves that this group of six women has great chemistry and that the women laugh easily together. It is fun to get to know her Christian sisters in a more personal way than she ever could by just attending Sunday services. Nitza also comments about other aspects she loves about her life group:
“
I love watching God work in the lives of the women in our group via the prayer requests and I love watching their faith grow as our Lord continues to prove that He is faithful. I appreciate how the trust among the women has grown so that they are becoming more transparent. I appreciate the opportunity to serve and the accountability the group creates for me. Lastly, I love the way being obedient to God makes me feel, and how it increases the intimacy between us.
“
“And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard form the beginning his command is that you walk in love.” 2 John 1:6

: TYHESHA WHITE
by, Bridgette Jordan
eet Tyhesha White! Born and raised in New Jersey, Tyhesha is the youngest of 4 children raised by their mother. She attended undergrad at William Patterson University in Wayne NJ and received her Master’s in Social work at Rutgers University. She’s been employed at Mercer County Board of Social Service for 11 years as a licensed social worker and clinical drug and alcohol counselor. Very active in her community, Tyhesha finds different ways to serve whether it’s acting as the Volunteer Chairperson for foster & adoptive services in Mercer County, where she facilitated activities for foster kids and families including an annual holiday party, or being involved in the Big Brother/Big Sisters Program. Tyhesha has been a foster parent for five years and has had over 30+ kids stay in her home whether it be short term or long term. She states that this was never really the plan she had for her life, but was something that God laid on her heart. She refers to herself as “Godparent” to all of her kids, because God is the one who ultimately put them in her life. Every child who has come into her home has attended Central, and she believes it is important to expose every child to Christ. She has one adopted son already, and is in the process of adopting two more sons, ages 16, 14 & 10. She is passionate about Christians opening their homes to kids through fostering or adoption, especially teenagers, so that they have exposure to Jesus. At Central, whether it be helping at Kids Camp, leading a life group, or serving as a deaconess of care, you can find Tyhesha and her family serving. One of the things she appreciates about Central is the various ministry outreaches that serve the community, and the dedication and hard work that goes into all the programs and ministries, especially the teen ministry. Thank you Tyhesha, for not only being a mentor, but also for being the hands and feet of Jesus to bring hope to the hurting.
