WELCOME TO FBCSCOTTSDALE Join YOUR story to GOD’S story to change the WORLD’S story Our church is a living organism that has a role in the kingdom that only our church can fulfill. We have our strengths and weaknesses, we have our own personality, character, and quirks and we are passionate about using our church’s story to change the world’s story. If you’re interested in getting to know our story a little better, head over to the STORYBOARD in the lobby where you can read community stories and have the opportunity to share your own. If this is your first time here, stop by the Welcome Central desk in the lobby and our volunteers will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

MEET OUR TEAM

announcements YOU need to KNOW...

1. the forum

FBCScottsdale is a place that values discussion and learning from each others’ stories. We wanted to create a welcoming place to do just that. The Forum is a service where you have the opportunity to participate in community, discuss important topics, and invite those who are not comfortable coming to church in a traditional Sunday morning setting. Join us on Sunday nights at 6:00p.

2. FBCS University

FBCS University is in full swing! We’ve had some great discussion about Heaven & Hell, some beautiful artwork made at Canvas & Coffee, and some great conversation for married couples on the importance of communication. We’re excited to start our second block of classes this Wednesday. Join us at 5:30pm for the community dinner followed by classes at 6:00p.

3. Yarn for Perryville Prison

We are requesting donations of yarn of any type for Julia’s Yarn Ministry at Perryville Prison. There is not much offered in the prison that truly allows the women to be productive. They are allowed to crochet; however, they are not supplied with yarn, as yarn may come through donations ONLY. The inmates crochet beautiful items for babies that are then donated to those in need. Would you please consider making a donation of yarn by simply placing it in the box near Welcome Central. Thank you in advance!

4. Backpack drive

This summer we are partnering with Mesa United Way and Helen’s Hope Chest for their back to school event! We will be collecting backpacks and school supplies to give to foster children at no cost to their foster parents. This is a great way to impact our community’s story by providing for those in need. Check out our website for the list of items that are needed and drop them off on Sunday mornings at Welcome Central or in the church office by July 5th.

We believe in the power of Team Leadership. Our Pastors function as a Pastoral Leadership Team by working together to achieve the vision that God has for this church.

People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
