A TIME OF WORSHIP Hymn of Hope Sanctuary Choir & Congregation We’re Marching to Zion #524 Invocation

A Community Delivered (Exod Exod 3:13-17, 12:31-42, 13:17, 14:5-31)—The Israelites’ history as a captive people was always to inform their relationships with outsiders. But their history of deliverance was to inform their behavior and faithfulness from within their own community. Time after time God would remind them, through their leaders, not to return to a life of captivity from which they had been freed. Whether that captivity was idolatry, or selfishness, or godless living, the temptation was always there to use their freedom as a weapon instead of as a blessing.
