What Are We Supposed To Do Again? Getting To Know Each Other • What have you broken that got you into big trouble with the powers that be? A window? Curfew? A law? Someone’s trust? Something else? • Were you given a second chance? Into the Bible Read Deuteronomy 10:1-11 • Who literally wrote the 10 Commandments? What does this signify? • Why were these tablets important for Israel as they prepared to enter the Promised Land? • When God told Moses to prepare two new tablets, what does that teach us about God? • What other times in the Bible did God literally write? Daniel 5:5-6; John 8:6, 8. What can we learn about God from these three “documents”? • Application: How has God helped you heal your brokenness? • Application: What message would God write you today? Laws, warnings or grace? Read Deuteronomy 1-:12-22 • What five habits did God want Israel to adopt as they marched into the future? • Which one of these five might have been the biggest challenge for them? • God loved Israel even though he is the maker of heaven and earth.
