What Happens To You When You Die? | Heaven is For Real Heaven will be anything but boring (2 Corinthians 5:1-3). In heaven God makes all things new, including our physical bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50-55). We will experience more learning, more satisfaction, more relationships, more joy, more peace, more love and more of Jesus there. Heaven is also a world where death and sin will be no more (Revelation 21:3-5). Through the Holy Spirit, God wants to reveal to us aspects of heaven and give us courage and hope in this life. SHARING TESTIMONIES Share with your group your honest view of heaven. What do you think will happen there? What do you think it will be like, and how excited are you about heaven? GO DEEPER According to 2 Corinthians 5:1-3, we should long to put on our heavenly dwelling. What makes that longing such a struggle at times? What will heaven be like according to Revelation 21:3-5? From 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, why can we have hope concerning eternity in heaven? How should that affect the way we live now? MAKE IT PERSONAL Have you lost sight of heaven? What tends to hinder you from keeping your mind and heart set on things above (Colossians 3:1-2)? What would be different if you had a stronger confidence in or desire for heaven? How or where do you need hope or courage right now? PRACTICE IT NOW God wants everyone to have hope and the confidence of heaven when we die. It will not be a boring place, as many believe within our culture. Scripture is clear that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). Take time as a group to purposefully renew and celebrate the confidence of heaven we have in Jesus. Verbally affirm the wonder of heaven and your gratefulness of what it will be like. Take time also to pray over and to encourage those needing a greater measure of hope and courage right now. Ask God to bring the peace, joy, and love of heaven to them and their respective situations. Our

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10).
