What is FBC263? In the New Testament, the word Christian is found three times. The word Christianity is never written. The word disciple is repeated 263 times. What message were the writers sending to their readers about what it means to follow Jesus and feed his sheep? This year we will discover that message and the difference it can make in practicing our faith. Our pastor will present a 10 week sermon series beginning Sunday, January 14, which will shed light on what it means to be a disciple. Week 1: TRUST, John 1:43-51 Week 2: LEARN, John 3:1-15, John 12:1-8 Week 3: PRAY, Luke 11:1-13 Week 4: FORGIVE, Luke 23:26-34 Week 5: SERVE, Luke 9:1-9 Week 6: ENCOURAGE, Acts 9:19-31 Week 7: LOVE, Luke 15:11-31 Week 8: SACRIFICE, Mark 14:32-42 Week 9: GIVE, Luke 19:1-10, Luke 21:1-4 Week 10: OBEY, Luke 1:36-38 In addition to the sermon series on Sundays at 10:50 a.m., we invite you to join us in an 8-9 week small group to discuss aspects of discipleship in depth.
