What Is the Difference Between a Hedge of Protection and a Hedge of Thorns? -Part IIJob 1:8-10, 20-22 Hosea 2:5-7

Sunday, November 15, 2015 Part I Recap & Review God has given us two principles in the Bible that could revolutionize your life, marriage, family, friendships, and future, as well as those people you love. There are two kinds of “Hedges.” These are the stories of two godly men—Job and Hosea— who were passionate about their faith and “all in” with their commitment to God. Hosea prayed a Hedge of Thorns around his unfaithful wife (Hosea 2:5-7).

A Hedge of Thorns is something that stands in the way of a child of God who is heading into sin and further into sin. Job, on the other hand, prayed a Hedge of Protection around his family ( Job 1:8-10) I.

A Hedge of Protection is: An invisible, supernatural barrier or shield placed around someone you have prayed for as a result of your meeting God’s conditions of obedience, Scriptural consistency, and righteous motives; and you are asking for God’s protection.

A Hedge of Thorns is: An obstacle, affliction, trouble, difficulty, disappointment, or failure that God places in the path of a Christian who is heading in a wrong direction (away from God) pointing the person back to God and His way as a result of the prayers of the godly. II.
