TAKE A LOOK AT THE BOOK: Read John 3:16-21 (Reread 3:16) Pastor Jeremy said there two different ways of rejecting God. One way is rebellion, where we deny God and do our own thing. Another way is religious rejection or we think we can be good enough to be accepted by God. Which one would you say characterizes or characterized your life before Christ? Which type of rejection do you tend to swing back to when you lose your focus on Christ? What does John mean when he says “He gave His only Son”? What does John mean when he says “whoever believes in Him should not perish”? Read James 2:19, what is the difference between the demons belief in God in James and the belief that John is talking about in John 3:16?

Read Luke 24:46-47 What is repentance? As you read these various scriptures, does it seem that faith and repentance are linked? How are they linked?

TAKE IT HOME: Who are the people in your life that don’t trust Christ that you have befriended, but never shared the message of the Gospel with? What are the barriers to sharing this message with them? What are steps you can take to remove those barriers? How can this group help you? Are there aspects of the Gospel that speak into your life today? What are they? What part do you connect with?
