Community Potluck Join us for a church wide potluck today after second service in C1. Women’s Ministries is hosting this great time to meet new people, fellowship, and enjoy some great food. Didn’t bring any food, no problem! We would love to have you join us. But Did He Really? A discussion on the historicity and reality - or not - of Jesus’s resurrection. Join us at Winfield’s tonight, Sunday, April 27th at 6:30p for a no-questionsbarred panel discussion on the reality of the resurrection. Any and all questions from the audience are encouraged. This is a free event open to the public, no reservation required. There is no child care provided, but Winfield’s will be in full service. Come hear (and share) about the answer to the number one question about Jesus Christ: Did he really come back from the dead? New Gallery Exhibit Check out the art gallery before or after service to see art from our very own Terry Graves. There will also be a public opening reception this Saturday, April 26th from 7:00-9:00p. Come support this great artist from our congregation! Community Date Nights This summer, you are invited to join us for an intergenerational experience called “Community Date Nights” the first two Wednesdays of June and July. We are excited to take Wednesday night activities and bring them all together to be one faith community. Each Date Night will have a different theme: June 4th - Movie Night (Sanctuary), June 11th - Cooking Night (C1), July 2nd - Christmas in July (C1), July 9th - Camping Night (C1). SERMON NOTES April 27th, 2014

28:1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” 8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” (Matthew 28:1-10, NIV)
