SERMON NOTES March 23rd, 2014

Kingdom Covenant The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, 3 but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him. 4 “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.” 5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this must die! 6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.” 7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man!...9 Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes?” (2 Samuel 12:1) 1

Children’s Art Exhibit Check out the Gallery today after service to see the new Children’s art exhibit! This is a great way to see what the children are learning and see their creativity come to life. Your child might have a piece of art on display so make sure you stop by and enjoy their creations. Junior and Senior High Summer Camp UCYC for both Jr. High and High school is coming up faster than we want to believe. Sign up by April 20th to recieve the discounted price. Annual Business Meeting Each year we have a business meeting to discuss the budget, vote on elders and present the vision of FBCScottsdale. This year we invite you to join us next Sunday, March 30th at 4:00p in the Sanctuary as we celebrate what God has done here the past year and where He is leading us in the future. You don’t want to miss it! Good Friday and Easter Joinus on Friday, April 18th at 7:00p for our Good Friday service. Then Easter morning Sunday, April 20th for a youth led sunrise service at 7:00a followed by two identical blended services at 9:00a & 10:30a. MasterPeace Production’s High Dive High Dive is a one woman show by our very own Patty Stephens! Join us either the weekend of April 4th - 6th or April 11th - 13th for this great comedic show. This is a great opportunity to invite our unchurched friends to a comfortable fun atmosphere, the show will be in Winfield’s.
