When is enough, enough? Here's a question.

In 2014, 63 percent of households headed by a non-citizen reported that they used at least one welfare program, compared to 35 percent of native-headed households. Welfare use drops to 58 percent for non-citizen households and 30 percent for native households if cash payments from the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) are not counted as welfare. EITC recipients pay no federal income tax. Like other welfare, the EITC is a meanstested, anti-poverty program, but unlike other programs one has to work to receive it. Compared to native households, non-citizen households have much higher use of food programs (45 percent vs. 21 percent for natives) and Medicaid (50 percent vs. 23 percent for natives).

If Bush I had gone out the McCain way, blasting Trump. If his family had made it clear that they didn't want Trump at the funeral, would we be seeing these snide hit pieces, which have crawled up from the lefty underbelly at Salon, Vox and Slate to the New York Times.

Fake Run for Office Dems running for president in 2020 has become the new drug. Everyone's doing it, I might as well join them. In a wide-ranging podcast interview with one of his employees, CNN president Jeff Zucker revealed to The Axe Files host David Axelrod that he still wants to run for political office at some point. "I still harbor somewhere in my gut that I'm still very interested in politics," he said in the interview, published Monday. Zucker said he's "still interested" in running for office, adding, "It's something I would consider." (He also repeated twice during the 69minute-long podcast that he'd love to run the Miami Dolphins football team in the future.)

An Evening of Clinton

For the most part, when the issue of crimes related to illegal immigration is raised, the discussion most often turns to crimes committed by illegal aliens that cause death or grievous injuries to the victims, whether the crime involved an assault or a motor vehicle accident at the hands of an unlicensed and/or drunk-driving illegal alien.

For those that have no life the Clinton's are on a book tour. A book of what, we are still asking that. Tickets to Bill and Hillary Clinton's joint "world tour" aren't selling, and in some cases are available for as little as $6, according to several ticket resale sites.

Undoubtedly there is no shortage of such infuriating and tragic examples of the consequence of illegal immigration. Of late, attention has focused on transnational gangs such as MS-13 that has its origins in El Salvador and Los Angeles, California; however, it must be noted that because human nature is human nature, transnational gangs can be found in every ethnic community whose residents come from every country on this planet. There are other crimes, however, that have a direct nexus to illegal immigration that do not directly involve violence or loss of life but nevertheless claim huge numbers of victims in the United States that may have a profound and life-altering impact. One of the most serious of those crimes involves the theft of the identities of millions of United States citizens and lawfully-admitted immigrants whose citizenship, lawful immigrant status and good names are valued commodities that provide millions of illegal aliens with a sort of “camouflage.”

Just last month, Bill and Hillary kicked off what was supposed to be a "whirlwind" stadium tour, rivaling Michelle Obama's, which has been a runaway, sold-out success. The post-presidential pair promised to bare their souls to audiences, and they were reportedly paid handsomely for the effort. But in practice, the "Clinton tour" has been less of a blockbuster and more of a bad dream. At a recent event in Toronto, the stadium was so empty that organizers were blacking out empty sections with curtains and reconfiguring the crowd to appear larger, moving ticket-holders in the cheaper seats down to the floor to help "fill in" audience gaps. Hillary Clinton is desperate to be included in the slate of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. "The Clintons refuse to be discarded. It has been their joint project for half a century to be at the center of the public scene and debate. The way that the whole thing came crashing down in 2016 is too hard for them to bear. They would like to rewrite the ending, but there is no way to do that."

Hey, Barack! We have a secret for you. Barack Obama has in recent months met with at least nine prospective 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden and Deval Patrick, pulling them in for one-on-one sessions at his Washington office.

But Obama is concerned about how his own party is responding, and how it can be best positioned to win in the midterms and in the next presidential cycle to beat back the president and his politics.

All the meetings were arranged quietly, without even some close advisers to the people involved being told of the conversations, in part because of how much Obama bristles at his private meetings becoming public knowledge.

He doesn’t see himself as the person to come up with the plan, people who know about the meetings say, but he is eager to be a sounding board and counselor to the Democrats he sees as playing a role in shaping the party’s future.

The meetings have been at Obama’s personal office on the third floor of the World Wildlife Fund building in D.C.’s West End neighborhood, and they show how a stream of ambitious, searching politicians are looking for guidance and support from the man who has remained the reluctant leader of the Democratic Party, eager to be involved, though not directly. He's not making any promises of support, though, and is not expected to endorse in the 2020 race until after a nominee has emerged. Obama so far has avoided direct conflict with President Donald Trump — save for a few public statements criticizing his moves attempting to dismantle the Iran nuclear deal, Obamacare and the protection program for Dreamers, though without naming Trump.

Obama’s office declined comment on all the meetings. The meeting with Warren was Obama’s second since leaving office, according to people who know about both encounters. The first was in the spring of 2017 after Warren said she was “troubled” by the $400,000 Obama was getting to speak at a Wall Street investment firm, describing it as an example of the influence of money that she called “a snake that slithers through Washington.” Hey Barry, Americans do not care what you want, nor do we care what you think. No one does.

Winter is approaching or is already here in most parts of the US. Check on the elderly, and make sure they have what they need. This time of the year it is usually gloomy and dreary. Many are by themselves. Be an American and reach out and if they need something, get it for them. If they need a ride to the doctor, take them. If they need food, shop for them. Remember they paid our way to the future, it is our turn to repay them for the past.

Words to live by.
