Call to Worship Psalm 95:1-3

Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Follow-up

This week's lesson is called "The Fiery Furnace." The story is found in Daniel 3.

This week's memory verse is: When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. Isaiah 43:2 Here are some questions to help you review today's story with your child:

1. Who were Daniel’s friends? (Daniel’s friends were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.) 2. What did King Nebuchadnezzar tell them to do? (The king told them to worship the gold statue.) 3. What did Daniel’s friends say? (Our God is able to save us, but even if He does not, we will not worship your idol.) 4. What happened next? (God was with Daniel’s friends in the fire and they were not burned.) * Caring volunteers staff our classes for all age groups from infants to middle school each week. These classes bring God's Word to children at their level of understanding. Parents are also welcome to have their children in service, but we ask that you help us by moving to back rows or exiting the service if your children are a distraction to other worshipers. Thank you.

Announcements JR HIGH CLASS The Jr. High students will be meeting for class under the bleachers immediately following worship this morning.
