Wilderness First Aid Camp John J. Barnhardt Pursuant to an Authorized Provider Agreement between the Central North Carolina Council, BSA, and the American Red Cross. Class will be held at Culp Lodge (between the Ranger’s residence and the Climbing Tower). Participants should bring sleeping bags and tents. There will be cabin space for some participants but it is not guaranteed. The tent camping area will be in the vicinity of the Climbing Tower.

Every crew participating in a backcountry trek at Philmont Scout Ranch or Boundary Waters Canoe Base must include at least one participant who is certified in Wilderness First Aid. This course will meet that requirement.

Adults and youth currently certified in CPR must present their card in order to be certified in Wilderness First Aid. For those not currently certified, a course will be available on Friday evening, beginning at 7:00 PM.
