Prayer Concerns Hayes Adcock is adjusting to living with type 1 diabetes. Nanci Sanders, Janet Johnson’s daughter, will spend at least 30 days in UMMC for treatment of leukemia. Eddie Evans, Trese Evans’ brother, awaiting results of more tests done on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Billy Grims, Toshunda Washington’s father, has a doctor appointment on Wednesday, October 3, after experiencing several health issues for some time now.
Congregational News Congratulations to Jesse and Jackie Simpson on the birth of another granddaughter. Simms Arrington Long arrived on Monday, September 10. She is the daughter of the Simpson’s daughter Jessica and her husband John of Jackson Hole, WY. Potluck, Party, and Town Hall Meeting Please join us today in the Family Center-fellowship hall immediately following worship service for a potluck lunch and going-away party for Ben & Laura Fike. Then, at 1:15pm, there will be a town hall meeting with the shepherds in FC-1. This meeting will be a relaxed forum where you can address our shepherds with any questions or concerns that you might have about our church family. Children’s Ministry Organizational Meeting There will be an organizational meeting for our children’s ministry on Sunday, October 7, immediately after the morning worship service. Parents and children are asked to meet in the Family Center-fellowship hall for lunch. Adults will then head to FC-5 for the meeting while children remain in the FC-fh to play. Lunch and childcare will be provided. Our Search Committee for the new preaching minister has been confirmed.
