FAQ’s How do I renew my license? Note for new license holders in their first licensing biennium only: To renew your license for the first time, you are required to complete 8 hours of continuing education if your license was issued on or before 7/31/2013. If your license was issued on or after 8/1/2013, you are not required to complete continuing education. This pro-rated required amount of continuing education only applies to the first licensing biennium Who notifies the State of my continued education? It is the licensee’s responsibility to notify the state. I have extra credit hours. Can I apply them to the next renewal cycle? Continuing education hours earned in excess of the minimum requirements for Renewal of registration may be carried forward to the next renewal period but is limited to a maximum of 8 contact hours.
