Workshop Manager Hybrid Buses Job content One of the main goals of STIB is to increase and improve its bus fleet throughout the acquisition of hybrid & electric buses. As Workshop Manager, you are part of the Business Unit Bus and report directly to the Technical Senior Manager. These will be your core responsibilities:
You coordinate, develop and improve the programs related to predictive maintenance and troubleshooting of the fleet, the tools and equipment of your workshop; You manage all the personnel of the workshop and are in charge of the competence management of your workers; You guarantee ideal working conditions and ensure a constructive relationship and an open dialogue with the staff representatives. This way, social peace is maintained within your unit; You are in charge of managing the internal stakeholders, namely the department within STIB that is in charge of “level 2 maintenance”; © 2015 Graphene International Inc. You take part in the definition of the budget, particularly regarding the investments. You make sure the budget framework is respected; You guarantee the perfect state and cleanness of your building infrastructure. In that perspective, you coordinate the external companies that are responsible for that; On the long term, you develop new methods for predictive maintenance programs, based on prior lessons learned.
Your profile :
You have a higher technical degree (or equivalent by experience) in mechanics, electromechanics or electricity; You have several years of experience in a management role for large teams of technicians; You built this experience in a technical environment related to Operations & Maintenance, preferably within the automotive sector; You have prior experience in collaborating with work unions and staff representatives; You have solid people management skills: you are always open and fair towards your employees. At the same time, you are a decision-taker and are assertive; You combine an excellent helicopter view with good analytical skills. You know how to prioritize; You are a good and efficient communicator in French. You preferably have good bases in Flemish.
