Advancements in Premium IOL Cataract Surgery by ZEISS Plumeria Carl Zeiss Meditec As premium intraocular lenses become more popular, accurate alignment of toric lenses inside the eye and proper centration of multifocal lenses remains a major concern. The use of premium IOLs places additional demands on the physician in the level of accuracy needed to deliver the benefits of premium IOL platforms. For example, research has shown that a 10-degree misalignment of a toric IOL can cause a one-third decrease in the desired effect of correcting corneal astigmatism. Hear a faculty of experienced surgeons share their advice on what techniques and technologies they’re utilizing to raise the bar when it comes to premium lens placement accuracy and patient outcomes. Reception and FREE book, Essentials of Cataract Surgery, 2nd Edition, by Bonnie An Henderson, MD. Space limited, reservations recommended.
