Bryan Waldron, CCOA, ROUB Location: Garden Isle 4 Accurate biometry is essential for any cataract surgery to be successful. There are two options for obtaining accurate readings: optical biometry or immersion biometry. Since optical means cannot be utilized on 100% of the patient population, we must all be fluent in immersion ultrasound as well. This course begins with a lecture and video of the technique and concludes with a hands-on workshop.

This course begins with a lecture describing probe positioning and labeling, as well as a standardized approach to thorough, basic screening of the eye. It concludes with a hands-on workshop.

Bryan Waldron, CCOA, ROUB Location: Garden Isle 4 Ultrasound biomicroscopy can now observe anterior segment structures with incredibly high resolution, but the examiner must understand proper technique and anterior segment anatomy. This course begins with a lecture describing a standardized examination approach as well as examples of anterior segment pathologies, and concludes with a hands-on workshop. *All workshops will begin at 2:00 pm.
