Work options during study Part-time work opportunities Students are able to apply for an off-campus work permit and then work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full time during vacation periods. The minimum wage in British Columbia is $10.25 per hour. SFU Co-op program The Co-op program is open to SFU students and allows them to obtain paid professional work experience in Canada. Students can do between 4-18 months of Co-op during their degree. It is a great way for them to strengthen their resumes and help them find jobs upon graduation.
